Deep Blue - Gallery Oldham is an installation of artist made of neon beacon lights installed along the balcony of Gallery Oldham. Visible from the surrounding countryside, the lights are markers locating the Gallery in the landscape. Sending a text message 'Deepblue' to the lights causes them to flash out a message in morse code 'the light loves you', and the same message is returned in text to the sender's mobile.

Deep Blue was commissioned by for Gallery Oldham in 2002, project managed by the Art Department and the architects were Pringle Sharrat and Richards.
