PETER FREEMAN

ABOUT
Peter Freeman
Welcome to my web site. I make light sculptures and light installations using neon and LEDs. My sculptures are luminous contemporary forms that radiate colour and light into the surrounding space. Light installations are integrated into the architectural envelope transforming buildings and structures with animated colour. Small sculptures are made in my workshop and exhibited in galleries. Architectural installations and large sculptures are site specific and commissioned working closely with clients, design teams and lighting manufacturers to bring a poetic light and vibrant colour into the built environment and public domain.
'My wish is to create a luminous sculpture that celebrates the poetic and symbolic qualities of light to fire the spirit and bring luminosity into the built environment'.
Neon - LED
Light is a medium of our being and imagination. The eye and the brain transform invisible photons into the beautiful visible world we see. Electric light and digital technology gives the possibility of imagining totally new reflexive luminous cities and landscapes.
Light Forms
Light sculptures and light installations are a creative synthesis of visual ideas,  and technical possibilities. Looking for what is exciting in culture and light giving resonant luminous form to a contemporary moment.
Spirit of Light
Living in West Cornwall surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Sunlight is reflected between the sky, sea and land. There is a special clarity and intensity of light that is radiant and uplifting. This is the spirit of light I try to reflect in my sculpture and the light installations.
